October Fire Safety Reminder

October is Fire Safety Month and Harris Communications wants to remind you to check your current smoke detector to see if it needs a new battery. If your smoke detector isn’t working, or if it’s time for something new, check out the many smoke detectors we have available for deaf and hard of hearing people.

We have a variety of smoke detectors from name brand manufacturers such as Gentex, Kidde, BRK Electronics and Silent Call.

Smoke detectors are available:

—with batteries or hardwired.

—with strobe lights or audible alarms.

—with either photoelectric or ionization detection

—with a built-in transmitter that wirelessly sends a signal to a signaler
